Death sentence for Qatif rioter
A seditionist in Qatif was sentenced to death in Jeddah on Monday.
The prosecution charges against the suspect included firing a gun at a police patrol, harboring a wanted criminal, converting gas cylinders into bombs, hiding several seditionists and rioters from the police and purchasing three revolvers with 45 rounds of live ammunition, Al-Arabiya television channel reported.
“The defendant committed acts that invited punishment for rebellion,” the sitting judge said in his judgment, adding that the suspect confessed to the charges even though he later changed his stance.
