The Civil Defense in Makkah had to evacuate 381 people from a 17-floor hotel in Makkah on Monday after a fire broke out.

No one was hurt in the blaze because of the hotel’s safety system, said Col. Saleh Al-Olayani, spokesman of the Civil Defense.

Al-Olayani said the blaze started on the third floor and was initially declared a first level emergency but was downgraded when firefighters arrived at the scene.
