Saudi Railways pay tributes to outstanding employees, retirees
Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) honored its outstanding employees and retirees for the current fiscal year in an annual award ceremony held recently.
Mohammed Abu Zaid, director, public relations, SRO said that the award is honoring creative and talented employees to encourage distinctive competencies and promote the spirit of fair competition among them with the allocation of financial and moral rewards.
Divided into two categories of “creative employee” and “ideal employee,” the award carries a certificate of appreciation, shields and financial rewards worth SR5,000 for each ‘creative’ employee and SR3,000 to each ‘ideal’ employee.
He further said that the award has four tracks for creativity, excellence, and excellence at the level of passenger stations and excellence at the level of train drivers and supervisors.
Zaid informed that 23 employees won the awards this year.
The innovation award went to only one employee, while the award of ideal employees went to 6 staff from different sectors of SRO who are fully complying with the rules, regulations and safety procedures, he added.
He further said that three awards went to staff members from the passenger services sector while 10 staff of train drivers and supervisors were honored for their full compliance with the operation rules.
On the occasion Mohammed bin Khalid Al-Suwaiket, SRO president, also honored 19 retirees, praising their long services for SRO during their tenure and wished them a prosperous life full of health and happiness.
