4 expats held for rape, murder
Riyadh police have arrested four Pakistanis for raping and murdering a 51-year-old Pakistani woman after robbing her ornaments and money on Saturday morning, security sources said on Sunday.
The four also raped the woman’s 14-year-old son, they said.
Police tracked down the accused after the woman’s brother informed them about the incident.
The men reportedly tied the son up before raping and killing the woman. The family lived on the third floor of a building in Manfouha.
Security officers visited the woman’s home and found her lying on the ground with her legs tied up. There were bruises on various parts of her body.
The room was completely ransacked.
The Riyadh police chief led a team to nab the perpetrators following the directives issued by Riyadh Gov. Prince Turki bin Abdullah.
Criminal investigation officers studied the details of the case, including questioning anyone who was in touch with the bereaved family.
Police quickly identified four suspects, aged 20 to 30, and the four admitted to have committed the crime for robbery.
The four have been handed over to the Control and Investigation Board.
