JEDDAH — The General Directorate for Drug Control (GDDC) is searching for a 13-year-old boy who appeared in a video clip teaching some of his friends the art of wrapping a cigarette laced with hashish.

Abdul Ilah Al-Sharif, assistant director general of the GDDC for preventive affairs, said the GDDC has taken the help of a number of experts in new media in its hunt for the young boy. The video clip was widely circulated on the social media program known as “path”.

The clip showed the boy teaching the professional method of making a narcotic cigarette using hashish. He had the required material in front of him consisting of a quantity of hashish, tobacco and the Al-Sham paper, which is used to wrap up cigarettes.
