Microsoft To Bring Another Intel-Powered Surface Tablet

Microsoft is reportedly collaborating with Intel to bring an Intel-powered Surface tablet, which will be unveiled at its event scheduled for 20 May. According to reports, the Redmond-based technology giant is going to bring the Qualcomm-powered Surface Mini along with the other Intel-powered tablet. Both devices will be showcased at the upcoming event.The new device is expected to have a Haswell processor, a source told CNET. Intel also has the Bay Trail processors to offer. Microsoft’s Surface tablets haven’t been particularly well received in the market, even though the company has tried quite hard. The new Surface Mini with its Qualcomm chipset seems to be the company’s effort at making a mark on the tablet market.

Till now, Microsoft has been collaborating with Intel, using their processors to power the Surface Pro models. The latest version of the Surface tablet was the Surface Pro 2, which was powered by the Intel Core i5-4300U processor.
