Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz, deputy premier and minister of defense, gives Prince Salman Award and Fellowship for studies and researches of history of the Arabian Peninsula to a recipient at his office in Jeddah on Tuesday. A total of 12 academics and researchers have been chosen in five categories of the prize in its fifth edition. The crown prince congratulated the winners for their outstanding service and dedication in studying the history of the Arabian Peninsula in general and the history of the Kingdom in particular. Crown Prince Salman, who is chairman of the board of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (DARAH), also gave away King Abdulaziz Prizes for Writers. There were seven winners for the prize, which was introduced for the first time. — SPA
