How Saudi photographer clicked her way to the top
JEDDAH — Ghadah Al-Sahsah was determined to achieve her goal to be a professional photographer and she achieved just that by going abroad and obtaining a certificate as a professional photographer.
She started practicing photography as a hobby and developed her skills by attending several training courses before traveling abroad.
Al-Sahsah began by covering women’s wedding parties and events and she became well known through the quality of her work, providing her with a large base of customers.
She pointed out that she tries to capture the emotions of the events she attends, and this approach has won her praise from the women of Saudi society.
She also added that she faced a number of obstacles that she overcame through continued work and dedication until she set up her own photography center 12 years ago.
“My father supported me financially and encouraged me to study abroad and while the center cost me around SR250,000, it also yields very good annual returns,” she said. She noted that her success is due to her dedication, adding that anyone with such qualities can succeed.
“There are a number of women conferences, forums and events that require female photographers. “In addition, a number of women wish to document their most precious moments through photographs.”
