Pakistani pilgrim Ashraf Bukhari finds pleasure in visiting Saudi Arabia with family time and again to perform Umrah. “I have visited the Kingdom several times for Haj and Umrah,” he told Arab News.
Bukhari applauded the government’s efforts to expand the two holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims who come for Haj and Umrah.
“We are grateful to Saudi Arabia for its special services to pilgrims. We feel it since the time of our arrival in the Kingdom,” he said.
Bukhari was impressed by the Kingdom’s endeavors to carry out massive expansion projects at the two holy mosques, saying it would be recorded in the history in golden letters.
“I like the central region of Madinah,” he said. “There are several five-star hotels and other residential buildings as well as many shopping centers and restaurants around the Prophet’s Mosque. This makes it easy for pilgrims to buy clothes, souvenirs and other requirements.”
Regarding the cost of his Umrah trip, Bukhari said he found it reasonable. “I have paid around SR5,000 for this trip. During Ramadan, prices will go up because of high demand,” he added.
