The Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) has announced a revised time schedule for its trains running from Dammam during Ramadan.

Muhammad Abu Zaid, the SRO’s director of public relations, said the Riyadh-bound Train No. 3 would leave Dammam station at 8 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. It would leave Abqaiq at 8:41 a.m. and Hofuf at 9:34 a.m. and arrive in Riyadh at 12:20 p.m. This would be from Ramadan 1 to 20.

The Hofuf-bound Train No. 11 would leave Dammam at 3:38 p.m. instead of 2:50 p.m. and reach Hofuf at 5:08 p.m. The train would operate throughout the week except Fridays.

The Riyadh-bound Train No. 9 would leave Dammam at 8:53 p.m. instead of 8:50 p.m. and arrive in Riyadh at 1:13 a.m., he said.

The Dammam-bound Train No. 10 would leave Riyadh at 9:24 p.m. instead of 7:55 p.m. and reach Dammam at 1:44 a.m.

“The changes in the time schedule would suit customers during the month,” said Abu Zaid in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on Thursday.

New services introduced by the railway include online bookings and sale of tickets.
Passengers can also pay for tickets using the Sadad system, or the self-service system at the stations where they can print their own tickets.

The SRO is currently developing its infrastructure to enhance services. This includes new trains with entertainment systems and high-tech communications, he said.
