A 20-member gang has been arrested in Al-Kharj, some 80 km south of Riyadh, for its involvement in the manufacture and spread of liquor, local media said.

The gang, consisting of 15 Indians and 5 Saudis, was found to be selling locally produced alcohol to customers after refilling it into empty “King Robert” bottles, which were placed into boxes with English labeling to make it seem like the bottles had been imported from abroad.

The gang was also found to be in possession of cannabis when searched by inspection teams from the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
