Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and US President Barack Obama discussed the security situation in Iraq and emphasized the need for an inclusive government in Baghdad.

During his telephone conversation late Wednesday, Obama thanked the Saudi king for his $500 million pledge to help Iraqis displaced by an upsurge in violence.

The king and Obama agreed to consult closely on regional developments, the White House said.
