KACND hosts peace dialogue
The King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) hosted last week a peace dialogue forum with various African countries for the first time.
The forum saw the participation of 43 prominent Islamic personalities.
Participants, who represented 40 African countries, came on official invitation, during which they attended various programs related to promoting dialogue and peace.
The forum also reinforced the importance of communication skills through dialogue and proficiency in arts and the correlation between positive communication and social and cultural development.
“Dialogue plays a vital role in fostering understanding and promoting coexistence and peace,” said Fahd Sultan, KACD deputy secretary-general.
KACD has undertaken several initiatives that have contributed to the culture of dialogue and peace between nations.
He also underlined the efforts of Prince Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed, adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and chairman of the Dawa Committee in Africa, in developing committee performance and his role in boosting liaisons between African scholars and Saudi Arabia.
Participants were given attendance certificates and also received training packages, which include several specialized books on the culture of dialogue.
KACD dialogue programs have gained an international reputation and have also become a reference for many international groups.
