Prince Khaled nominated for excellence award
Education Minister Prince Khaled Al-Faisal was nominated for an excellence award by Makkah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah at the Jeddah Hilton on Saturday.
This is the award’s sixth session, which was organized by eight branches under the governor’s office.
Prince Mishaal said that Prince Khaled was nominated for his work during his time as governor in Makkah.
“Prince Khaled played a leading role in introducing several expansion and development projects when he was governor,” he said.
“Prince Khaled has played an outstanding role in advancing key developmental, economic, social, scientific and cultural areas.”
The press conference was attended by several Saudi businessmen, major sponsors and supporters, newspaper editors and media to highlight achievements made in the region over the years, including milestones in the Haj and Umrah, administrative, economic, cultural, social, environmental, architectural, scientific and technical domains.
He also said that this is the first time all eight branches unanimously nominated a single person, which he said is thanks to Prince Khalid’s influence in spreading the concepts of competition and motivation to enhance quality and motivation.
Prince Mishaal had decided to revamp the supreme and executive committees for this award three months ago in a bid to deploy modern technology, foster productivity and performance and develop human resources.
