The Labor Ministry announced Sunday that it would allow expats to transfer their services to companies within a group, beginning Shawwal 1 (July 28). However, it said such workers should have completed two years with their existing companies and fulfill conditions for such transfers as specified in the Nitaqat system.

The second condition is the abrogation of the company where he/she is working. “In the second case, the two-year condition would not be applied,” it added.

The ministry approved the new service at the request of several companies. It also pointed out that the service would be available only to those companies that have achieved substantial progress in Saudization.
