Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) and Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, hosted the second annual Ramadan lecture at Kingdom Resort in Riyadh on Monday. The lecture focused on awareness and knowledge.

The keynote lecture, delivered by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khulaifi, was attended by diplomats, journalizts, scholars, intellectuals and employees of the KHC and the foundation.

During the event, discussions and debates were moderated by Abdullah Almudaifer.
The annual Ramadan event is in line with Prince Alwaleed’s vision to promote moderate Islam and a culture of dialogue.

In 2006, the prince established the religious channel Al-Resalah that aimed to deliver the true meaning of Islam, promote support for human values and encourage families to watch its diverse programming.

Prince Alwaleed has contributed to many cultural, educational and philanthropic projects globally, including a $20 million donation to Harvard University to create the university-wide Islamic studies program in 2005, a $20 million donation to Georgetown University to create the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding the same year and a recent $20 million donation to the Louvre to support its collection of Islamic art.
The foundation also hosts interfaith dialogues.
