Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrives in the Kingdom on Sunday to perform Umrah and discuss regional and bilateral issues with Saudi authorities, Khayyam Akbar, charge d’affaires at the Pakistan Embassy, told Arab News on Saturday.

“Saudi-Pakistan bilateral relations will be discussed during the meeting to bolster mutual cooperation,” he added.

Sharif will also visit Madinah.

Sharif’s visit comes at a time when the Pakistan government is in the process of announcing its new ambassador to Riyadh after Naeem Khan’s appointment to the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).

The ongoing Gaza crisis will top the agenda of the meeting between the two sides, Akbar said, adding that the difficulties faced by the Muslim world at large will also be discussed.
