The bus had more than 40 passengers on board.

Three passengers died and 43 were injured when the bus in which they were traveling overturned near Dhuba in Tabuk, sabq.org reported.

The electronic daily said the Indian driver lost control of the vehicle while passing through a narrow road on way to Dhuba on Thursday.

More than 40 passengers on the bus were Egyptians, while two were Ethiopians, said Hussam Al-Saleh, Saudi Red Crescent Authority spokesman in the Tabuk region.

“The accident occurred on the Ashwaq-Dhuba road at 7:15 a.m.,” Al-Saleh said, adding that some of the injured were in serious condition.

He said 12 Red Crescent teams took part in the rescue operation. The injured were taken to Dhuba and Al-Wajh hospitals after being administered first-aid, he said.
