Visitors have a look at traditional life
Eid festivities organized by the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh (HCDA) at Qasr Al-Hokm district have concluded successfully, according to the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA).
“The last day witnessed an intensive presence of Saudi families, which began arriving at 6 p.m. to enjoy activities organized for the celebration,” the ADA said in a statement.
Festivities reflected Saudi life and culture dating back to the distant past, with the Ardah shows representing the main theme due to the strong historic and national bonds between folk dance and Saudi society.
The show featured a photographic exhibition at Al-Adl Square and attracted many visitors and amateur photographers.
“They were keen on documenting the shots of the leaders, which summarized the Ardah history throughout over a century through 40 photographs taken at different occasions during recent decades,” the ADA said.
On the other side of the Al-Adl Square, the ADA added, the Productive Families Exhibitions also attracted many shoppers looking for good value for their money.
More than 40 families participated in the exhibition this year and displayed homemade products and popular Saudi food, cosmetics and clothes.
“Popular dishes were a key attraction, as they appealed to the Saudi and foreign visitors who enjoyed the traditional Saudi dishes during this occasion,” the ADA said.
Foreign visitors were also keen on documenting the capital’s celebration shows at the Qasr Al-Hokm plazas.
“Many Arab and western visitors insisted on documenting all the activities and taking photos of their children inside the historic and open theater,” the ADA added.
