El-Sissi arriving tomorrow
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sissi will visit Saudi Arabia on Sunday to meet with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Announcing this, Afifi Abdul Wahab, Egyptian ambassador to Riyadh, said El-Sissi’s visit to the Kingdom is the first since he was elected the president of Egypt in June. Saudi Arabia has pledged unflinching support to Egypt’s economic and political stability.
“El-Sissi will discuss with King Abdullah the latest developments in the region and the relations between the two countries,” he said. “The ongoing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Egypt is very important to resolve the crisis in the region. The Egyptian delegation accompanying the president will include a number of ministers.”
King Abdullah had a brief stop-over in Cairo on his way home from Morocco in June to meet with El-Sissi just when he assumed office. The king demonstrated the strong Saudi support through the symbolic visit.
