Various groups met on Saturday at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in a Riyadh district to discuss various projects to propagate the teachings and idealism of Philippines’ national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

Labor Attaché Resty Dela Fuente of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Riyadh (POLO-Riyadh) met with Cenon “Nonie” C. Sagadal Jr, chapter commander of the Order of the Knights of Rizal in the Central Region (OKOR-CRC), and international school representatives.

“It was a fruitful consultation. The teachers gave meaningful insights and suggestions on how to disseminate information on Rizal and how to perpetuate his teachings and idealism,” Labor Attache Dela Fuente, also an OKOR adviser, told Arab News.

He added that the international school representatives also expressed support for Sagadal as new OKOR-CRC chapter commander.

Speaking on the occasion, Sagadal said that the meeting agreed to a proposed number of projects, such as the setting up of a Rizal’s Corner in every international school, the holding of contests on Rizal to be participated in by international schools in the Middle East and North Africa region in December and the holding of inter-school competitions among schools in the Saudi capital at around this time in 2015.
