The Ministry of Social Affairs has pointed out that 10 percent of children caught begging in the streets are Saudi.

Khalid Al-Thebaiti, the ministry’s spokesman, said most of these children are orphans or children of unknown parents.

He warned of the consequences of child begging, which exposes these children to crimes.
