Officials deny rumors that many employees of Yanbu General Hospital have resigned.

YANBU — The head of Health Affairs in Yanbu has denied rumors that a number of officials have resigned from hospitals in the governorate.

Dr. Atallah Al-Jehani said all health sector employees are working as a team and continue to offer medical services to patients.

He explained that he did not receive any resignations from any official in the health sector or hospital. He, however, said some employees were transferred on their requests to other sections or departments.

“The medical director of Yanbu Hospital, who is currently enjoying his annual vacation, was transferred to the continuous medical education department upon his request. Another employee replaced him as the medical director,” he said.

Al-Jehani pointed out that the emergency units in the hospital would be expanded to cater for the increasing number of emergency cases.

He further added that a number of visiting doctors are being recruited in various specialties not currently available in the hospital and an announcement will be made once they arrive.
