Donation of experimental Ebola vaccine to WHO by Canadian Government

Canadian government decided to donate doses of an experimental Ebola vaccine to the World Health Organization. This experimental vaccine is called VSV-EBOV and was developed by the National Microbiology Laboratory.

It will offer up between 800 to 1,000 doses to the WHO and will keep a small supply in case it’s needed in Canada. This deadly virus is the world’s largest and deadliest and has killed more than a 1,000 people in West Africa.
