Whatsapp is now planning to introduce free caling service. It will soon add a a 4-button series, which will include options like call mute, switch to text message, directing the call through device speaker and hanging up. The Fuse Joplin reported that the new free calling feature will be offered on WhatsApp’s new 4.5.5 version.

On dialing the number from your WhatsApp contact list, a colored ‘call in progress’ bar will appear on WhatsApp. Enabling the free calling feature will give WhatsApp another reason to be a tough competitor to Hike, WeChat, Line and other such apps.
