The only problem people literally had with Samsung was that most of their smartphones looked identical with absolutely no design revolutions in any of them. And it seems Samsung has had enough of these rather true allegations as it launched its first metal frame based device called the Galaxy Alpha few days back.

Coded as the “Evolution of Galaxy Design”, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a metal frame in the front and a soft back panel. Although Samsung has used new build materials but still the design and over all looks are same as that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which was launched last year.

The smartphone is expected to go sale next month with a price tag of somewhere around Rs 42,000 in Indian currency. The device runs on the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS and supports LTE.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a 4.7 inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by a octa core Exynos SOC processor which is a combination of a quad core 1.8 GHz chipset and quad core 1.3 GHz chipset. It has a 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded.

Camera wise the Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with 12 megapixel lens at the back and 2.1 megapixel one in the front. Connectivity options on the device includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3g, LTE, NFC etc and a finger print scanner as well same as that one in the Samsung Galaxy S5.
