JCCI bridges gap between courts and businessmen

A delegation from Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) visited the headquarters of General Court in Jeddah.

The delegation consisting of Vice Chairman of JCCI Ziyad bin Bassam Al-Bassam, acting Secretary General Hassan bin Ibrahim Dahlan, and Director of the Center for Law and Conciliation Awad Al-Halbi met Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Husseini, president of the General Court in Jeddah.

The meeting was reported to be in the context of building a bridge of communication between the business community and officials of the judiciary by virtue of the close relationship between the two sectors, especially in supporting the process of investment, and overcome the difficulties of development and facilitate business opportunities.

Al-Husseini briefed the delegation on the technical development plan, which the court has for the visitors, including programs for officials and private sector representatives of the business community and introduce its various sections and departments aimed at providing the best services to all segments of society.

Both the parties discussed aspects of joint cooperation and related issues submitted to the court and affairs of the business community in general. They discussed ways to find a mechanism for the settlement of disputes arising between the traders by the magistrate and through conciliation.

Al-Husseini said that such cooperation and initiatives between JCCI and General Court would help in developing a trust between the business sector and the court and also help in reducing the burden of the court, develop a mechanism of securities and disseminating human rights culture.
