Israeli rockets kill Saudi
A Saudi young man who joined Islamic State (IS) earlier this year then defected and joined fighters in Gaza has been killed by Israeli rockets in a recent attack on the city, Al-Hayat daily reported.
Sultan Farhan Rajeh Al-Harbi, a native of Hafr Al-Batin, decided to leave IS after seeing their crimes committed in different regions in Iraq and Syria.
Before ending up in Gaza, Al-Harbi fought in Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Turkey and Syria.
He stayed in Syria for two months and was shocked at how Islamist groups were fighting one another.
He left for Turkey and then Egypt, where he was sneaked into Gaza during Ramadan.
He was traveling with some fighters in a car when an Israeli rocket hit them, killing them all.
His brother told Al-Hayat daily that Sultan’s death had been confirmed by fellow fighters who called his family.
Before joining IS, Sultan was imprisoned for five years in the Kingdom after trying to join fighters in Iraq but was arrested at the borders.
He also participated in the protests that took place last year and called for the release of individuals who were involved in terrorist cases.
