Malayasian Consul General Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak mark the country’s 57th Independence Day at the consulate with patriots.

The Consul General of Malaysia, Mohammed Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak and his spouse, Aniza Khalid, hosted the flag hoisting ceremony to commemorate the 57th Independence Day of Malaysia at the consulate.

All Consulate officers, staffs and families including agencies based in Jeddah attended this auspicious occasion.

The event began at 8:30 am with recital of a supplication followed by the flag hoisting and singing of the national anthem, “Negaraku.”

The consul general in his speech reminded all to commemorate the feeling of love toward the country and be thankful over the nation’s independence that is being enjoyed over the past 57 years.

He then shared three Independence messages which was conveyed by Hon. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on the eve of Malaysia’s Independence Day celebration.

The messages touched on the need to strengthen solidarity among Malaysians in facing challenges and tests, instilling confidence that the country could achieve any ambition as long as there is unity, and bequeathing a prosperous and peaceful Malaysia to future generations.

Abdul Razak called on all his colleagues serving in Jeddah to instill love, devotion and professionalism in carrying out their daily tasks, doing what is best and making the nation proud.
