Lebanese security forces on Saturday foiled two attempts to smuggle 39,000 amphetamine tablets into the Kingdom. Officers at Rafiq Al-Hariri International Airport foiled the attempts, which occurred within 15 minutes of each other, to smuggle 6.75 kilograms of the drugs that were split in two bags belonging to passengers of Arab nationalities. The suspects admitted the charges against them. They were handed over to Lebanese anti-narcotics officials along with the drugs for further investigations.
