LOS ANGELES: Actress Cameron Diaz has been spotted wearing a gold ring, fueling rumors that she is engaged to guitarist boyfriend Benji Madden.

Diaz, 42, sported the ring with a thin band and sparkling stone set in a swirly setting on her ring finger at an event, reported E! Online.

The actress stepped out Wednesday with a diamond ring on the fourth ringer of her left hand. The bling was first visible at a red carpet event and then again during her romantic dinner date with Benji Madden. Cameron Diaz also made no attempt to hide the ring, even though she probably knew the jewelry would spark rumors.

Diaz and Benji Madden were first linked in May, and it was not long before they became serious. Diaz even introduced Madden to her family over the Fourth of July holiday.

“They are openly acknowledging to friends that they see a long future together, and yes marriage may be a part of that plan,” a source told E! News in July. “It’s being discussed, whether seriously, who knows.”

The couple, who has been dating for some time now, has not commented yet.
