Abdullah Al-Qadi buried at Al-Baqi
A Saudi Arabian Airlines plane brought home the body of Abdullah Al-Qadi from Los Angeles. Al-Qadi, a Saudi scholarship student, was murdered in the United States. The body was accompanied by the Saudi consular representative, as well as the eldest brother and cousin of the deceased.
Al-Qadi’s father and a number of relatives were waiting at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Airport, where the Saudia plane landed after a 14-hour flight. Also present at the airport were the director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Madinah, Mohammad Al-Ghabban, deputy minister, deputy governor and a number of airport officials. Another 127 relatives of the deceased also arrived from Dammam International Airport to express their condolences.
Abdullah Al-Qadi was later buried at the Al-Baqi cemetery.
His father said that Al-Qadi’s killer has been charged with murder, theft and kidnapping, and added that the embassy’s lawyer is following up on the case.
Ahmad Al-Qadi, brother of the deceased, thanked all those who made Abdullah’s wish of getting buried at the Al-Baqi cemetery come true. He thanked Prince Saud Al-Faisal, minister of foreign affairs, and his deputy, Prince Abdulaziz, for facilitating the transportation of the body to the Kingdom.
