Though her fans may think she’s worthy of many awards, U.S. comedian Mindy Kailing is yet to receive a Nobel Peace Prize.

That’s what one man has hopefully learned by now, after mistaking Kailing for 17-year-old Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.

Kailing, 35, who is also a writer and an actress, was attending an afterparty for The New Yorker Festival earlier this month when “a tipsy man in his 80s cornered her and showered her with compliments.”

One of the comments included: “Congratulations on your Nobel Prize!” according to a profile published in the New York Times.

The man went on to praise her bravery and impressive recovery from Taliban gunshots, which had propelled Malala to global fame after she continued fighting for women’s rights to education.

“Did he really think I’m Malala?” Kaling, who is of Indian descent, asked the NYT writer after the man had walked away, adding that it was “the best thing that’s happened all night!”
