French President Hollande with Prince Alwaleed and CEO of sovereign wealth funds.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), attended a dinner at the French presidential palace, The Elysee.

The event marked the inauguration of the Institutional Investor Roundtable (IIR) headquarters with an official invitation from French President François Hollande.

Sovereign wealth fund (SWF) CEOs and French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron attended the dinner.

Prince Alwaleed had earlier attended the inauguration of the Institutional Investor Roundtable (IIR) headquarters in Paris attended by sovereign wealth fund CEOs.

Moreover, KHC that was represented by Prince Alwaleed was the only company that was not a sovereign wealth fund.

Among the attendees were the world’s largest sovereign funds CEOs: Khaldoon Almubarak, CEO of Mubadala Develop Company, Khalil Alfoulathi, member of the board of ADIA and adviser to Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed, Robert Tessier, president of CDPQ, Damien Frawley, CEO of QIC, Tan Chong Lee, head portfolio of Temasek (Singapour), Hank Ahn, chairman and CEO of KIC and Leo de Bever, CEO of AIMCO.

The attendees discussed potential investments across a broad range of sectors and asset classes, with a strong focus on opportunities and promoting economic co-operation between France and other countries.

The discussions also focused on ways to contribute to the growth and prosperity of economies.

In addition, President Hollande and Prince Alwaleed discussed political, economic and cultural matters during the meeting.

They also discussed the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and France.

Prince Alwaleed’s accompanying delegation included Sarmad Zok, KHC board member and executive director of hotel investments, Hassna Alturki, department head, travel and external affairs and Kacy Grine, adviser to the chairman.
