Police detain 167 illegals

Alkhobar police have detained 167 illegal expats during recent inspection campaigns across several stores and shops in districts such as Al-Azizyiah, Al-Thoqbah and Al-Rakah. The campaign also included the cattle market in Alkhobar.

The campaign continued for two days with the participation of a number government bodies such as the Special Missions Force, Directorate of the Eastern Province Police and Alkhobar municipality.

Spokesman for Eastern Province police Col. Ziad Al-Riqaiti said: “Eastern Province police carried out campaigns with the participation of the special mission forces and other government bodies to detain illegal expats. These campaigns have resulted in the arrest of 167 illegal expats who have been detained in preparation for their being handed over to authorities who will take legal action against them.
