‘Extremism threat to national unity’

The national dialogue, being organized by King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) on “Extremism and its Effect on National Unity,”.

Participants at the 2nd preparatory forum for the 10th Intellectual Dialogue in Sakaka, under the theme “Extremism and its Effect on National Unity,” emphasized the threat of extremism to the Kingdom’s national security and unity.

The national dialogue, being organized by King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) in various regions across the Kingdom, aims to reach out to different quarters that would help in resolving the issues of fanaticism and extremism.

The participants stressed the importance of promoting a culture of dialogue and unifying efforts to work against those seeking to undermine national unity.

Addressing the event, Fahd Sultan, KACND deputy secretary-general, read out the Sakaka suggestions that were raised during the forum, including the threat of extremism to the society, security and national unity through deviant ideology.

Participants said that national solidarity is essential to fight against deviant ideology.

The forum will also promote the concept of loyalty and existing under one umbrella, enjoying full rights and duties.

The participants have called for these ideas and recommendations to be implemented by the concerned ministries and government departments.
