Director of Civil Defense in Taif Saleh Mansi Al-Harthi has announced the formation of a committee to review the damages caused by Friday’s rains and floods in the governorate.

He said the committee would embark on its work to record the flood-damaged vehicles, especially those in the Al-Muntazah neighborhood adjacent to the Arth Al-Qamar district.

“The vehicles were parked in front of the houses in the neighborhood,” he said, dismissing the notion that the houses were also damaged.

Commenting on the issue of addressing the discharged water in Al-Muntazah neighborhood, he said that Taif Mayor Mohammed Al-Mukhrij inspected the location with a number of Civil Defense officers and discovered the reason for the water pooling in the area. He said the situation would be set right soon.
