Concert organizers in Dubai have announced a New Year’s Eve spectacular with The Jacksons, Gloria Gaynor and Chaka Khan rounding out a star-studded 70s and 80s lineup.

The eight-hour epic MasterJam show will also feature Nile Rodgers, Chic Jocelyn Brown, Kathy Sledge and Incognito.

For some of the artists, playing in the UAE is not a novel experience.

Soul diva Chaka Khan performed in 1993 to promote the album “The Woman I Am.” The Chicago-born singer has won 10 Grammy awards through a career spanning four decades.

Motown fans will have the change to dance alone to Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Marlon of The Jacksons who will perform hits such as “I Want You Back” and “ABC.” Meanwhile, concert-goers will be able to sing along to Gaynor’s smash anthem “I Will Survive.”

Nile Rodgers, meanwhile, is the hit factory behind Madonna’s “Like A Virgin”and “We Are Family” and “Lost In Music” by Sister Sledge.

Along with the acts, there will be a 24-piece orchestra.
