The Philippine Embassy has called on all Filipinos in war-torn Yemen to leave the country as soon as possible due to the continuing political and security crisis there. Ambassador Ezzedin Tago met Filipinos working in Yemen last month in order to ensure their safety. During the visit, the embassy team rendered consular services to assist them.

“A total ban has been imposed on all travels to Yemen,” the embassy said. The advisory team said that Filipinos who wish to avail of the voluntary repatriation must signify their intention to do so, and immediately coordinate with the Crisis Management Team (CMT) based in Sanaa for assistance. The CMT is located at the Movenpick Hotel in Sanaa, which can be contacted at +967 73 384 4958.
