Customs officers at northern Hudaitha checkpoint have foiled an attempt to smuggle more than two million amphetamine drug pills into the Kingdom, said Ibrahim Al-Anazi, director of customs in Hudaitha.

“The pills were hidden inside a car in a professional way and it was very difficult to find them out,” said Al-Anazi.

He said the customs department would take extra precaution to prevent smuggling of drugs into the Kingdom, using different techniques.

In a related development, police in Jordan prevented another attempt to smuggle one million amphetamine drug pills into the Kingdom on Wednesday.
