Saudi Arabia to face Qatar in Gulf Cup final

Saudi Arabia beat the UAE 3-2 on Sunday to qualify for the Gulf Cup final where it will face Qatar, which won the first semi-final leg 3-1 against Oman.

Nasser al-Shammari opened the scoring sheet for the Saudis in the 19th minute. Nawwaf al-Abed added a second goal three minutes later.

In the second half the UAE came back in the game with two goals by Ahmed Khalil on the 53rd and 79th minutes.

But four minutes before official time, Salem al-Dossari scored the winner for the Saudi team, firing them into the final.

Earlier, two goals from Ali Assadalla propelled Qatar in the final during a match against Oman.

Oman took the lead on the 24th minute, but the Qataris equalized on the half hour.

Second-half substitute Assadallah scored two goals to propel Qatar into the final.
