Education Minister Prince Khaled Al-Faisal approved a number of projects in seven provinces. They are worth SR200 million.

The ministry stated that the projects include the establishment of a number of schools in Madinah and many multipurpose halls in several schools in Riyadh. This is besides developing educational buildings in Al-Jouf.

It revealed that the projects include the provision of safety and security requirements in Bareeda, and the process of maintaining school buildings in Bareeda, Oyoun Al-Jawaa and Qusaibaa.

The ministry mentioned that projects also include maintenance works in Sorat Obaida, and the purchasing of a plot of land in Al-Ahsa, in addition to developing educational buildings in Al-Wajah governorate in Tabuk.

The ministry approved recommendations for covering shortages of teaching staff, by delaying their vacations for two weeks before the midterm vacation.

Educational directorates in various governorates have started implementing the measures to cover staff shortages, and confirmed that incentives will be dispensed to teachers who delay their vacations, according to sources.
