Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Abdullah Al-Turki has commended the initiative of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to bring together Egypt and Qatar and to restore relations between the two states.

“The initiative of the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is not out of character for the king, who is always an honorable, respected and distinguished leader who is very keen to continue the unity of the Arab countries”, said Al-Turki. He added that such attitudes and efforts have been the hallmark of the leadership of the Kingdom since its establishment, which has always worked to bring together Arab and Muslim countries and people, and to drive efforts toward more corporation and solidarity, and to overcome all disputes and differences with positive approaches.

“This approach by the leadership of the Kingdom to reconcile the Arab brothers stems from its religious and Islamic mission. MWL consistently praises the efforts of Saudi Arabia, and continues to humbly highlight its own importance in the way it represents the aspirations and hopes of the Arab and Islamic people.”

Al-Turki said that King Abdullah’s initiative had become successful largely because of his position as a respectable and distinguished Arab leader.
