Students ‘sparkle’ at annual exhibition

Novel International School (Almubioon International School) held the 5th exhibition and ISA project at its campus recently.

The show was titled ‘Sparkle 2014’ (Project Day 2014). Children had been working on the project for the whole of the academic year.

Maj. Juma Al-Harbi, former director of police, inaugurated the exhibition in the boys’ section. Among those present were Mujeeb Rahman, chairman of the school; Saleem Hamza Al-Hindi, school director and Abdul Gafoor Al-Zahrani.

The function opened with the recitation of Qur’anic verses by school student Mustafa.

Khalid Al-Mardi of the Ministry of Education, Jeddah, the guest of honor, visited the exhibition and appreciated the students for putting up an eye-catching show.

The chairman inaugurated the exhibition in the girls’ section. Those present included Alaviya Hilal, the school’s administrative head, and the coordinators — Anu Jose and Arshiya Tarannum; and cultural coordinators — Shaikha Tahseen and Pramila Martis. The event began with a welcome note on cultural arts.

A tree diagram depicting parts of speech (English), a photo gallery, a rain water harvesting system, a scary room, and a zero gravity show the highlights of the exhibition.

All the ISA projects were in the girls’ section. The grades from 1 to 3 had their exhibits displayed class-wise and all the other grades put up their exhibits subject-wise such as language and literature, math, and science.

There were models, both still and working, as well as magazines and projects. KG children also exhibited their talent by displaying lanterns and face masks.

After the formal opening, the chief guest was taken on a tour of the exhibits by the school’s Principal Mohammed Shafeeque, Head Master George Joseph, cultural coordinator Muhammed Shah, Savad V.C. and Rafeeque Mala, exhibition in charge.

Parents of the school students were visibly impressed by the creations of children and appreciated the efforts of the teachers in guiding the students to put up impressive exhibits.
