The Ministry of Interior has announced that security forces have arrested a man on its list of 23 most wanted criminals in Awamiya in the Eastern Province.

Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki said that Montathir Ali Saleh Al-Sabti was arrested on Thursday. No one was injured and there was no damage to property caused by the operation.

He said the government is determined to track down and arrest those involved in terrorist and criminal activities in the country, according to the SPA.

The government has accused the people on the list of serving the agenda of a foreign power, a reference to Iran.

In December, security forces killed four militants in eastern Saudi Arabia in a raid on a hideout used by gunmen who shot dead a policeman in the area earlier that month.
