Corvinus University honors Prince Alwaleed
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), and accompanying delegation visited Budapest, Hungary.
During the visit, Prince Alwaleed was awarded an Honorary Degree of “Doctor Honoris Causa” of Social Sciences from Corvinus University of Budapest.
It was presented to the prince by Prof. Dr. Zsolt Rostovanyi, Rector Corvinus University of Budapest.
This is the 25th honorary degree that the prince has thus far received.
Also during the visit, Prince Alwaleed headed to the Hungarian Parliament Building, where the prince met Viktor Orban, prime minister of Hungary.
During the meeting, the two discussed social and investment issues.
Subsequent to the meeting, Orban presented the prince with Hungary’s highest medal that was awarded by Janos Ader, president of Hungary.
The medal is the prince’s 74th honorary medal.
In addition, the event was attended by VIPs and media.
The delegation included Hatem Alghamdi, Saudi charge d’affaires to Hungary, Nahla Nasser Alanbar, private executive assistant to the chairman, Hassna Alturki, department head, travel and external affairs, Hani Agha, senior manager, travel and external affairs and Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, executive assistant to the chairman.
In 2012, Prince Alwaleed received at his office in Riyadh Laszlo Parragh, president of Hungarian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (HCCI).
In 2011, Prince Alwaleed received Zsolt Becsey, minister of state, Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Hungary.
