Egypt’s Sisi arrives in Kuwait on first visit since election
Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi arrived Monday in Kuwait for his first official visit to the Arab kingdom since his election last year, Kuwait news agency (KUNA) reported.
Upon his arrival, Sisi, who was accompanied by a delegation led by Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, was greeted by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Egyptian delegation includes Oil Minister Sherif Ismail, International Minister of Cooperation Najlaa Al-Ahwani and the Investment Minister Ashraf Salman.
During the two-day visit, the pair is due to discuss bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
Egyptian state-owned news agency MENA reported that the invitation came from the Kuwaiti Emir himself.
