Alwaleed, Danish envoy discuss economic issues

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office Ole Frijis-Madsen, ambassador of Denmark to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Yemen.

The meeting was attended by Heba Fatani, senior executive manager, corporate communications department; Intisar Al-Yamani, executive manager, corporate communications department; and Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, executive assistant to the Chairman.

This was Frijis-Madsen’s first meeting with Prince Alwaleed since assuming charge as ambassador of Denmark to Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, they discussed a number of social, economic and investment issues. In addition, Frijis-Madsen invited the prince to visit Denmark.

Furthermore, the Ambassador commended Prince Alwaleed on his efforts in playing a vital role in economic and social development, and referred to his local, regional and international investments, and generous contributions to people in need all over the world.

Moreover, Frijis-Madsen handed a letter from Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. In response, Prince Alwaleed relayed his cordial regards to the queen and promised to visit the country in the near future.

The prince’s investment in Denmark through KHC is in the financial sector via Citigroup.
