Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday for a brief visit in which he checked on the health of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Upon arrival, the Egyptian president was greeted by Prince Muqrin bin Abdulazizal Saud as well as Riyadh’s governor, Prince Turki bin Abdullah.

Also present at the airport, was the Egyptian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Afifi Abdel Wahab.

Sisi was then taken to the National Guard Hospital in Riyadh where the king was admitted in December, the SPA said.

The Egyptian leader left the country after meeting the king.
