Crown prince, Pakistan envoy pledge to boost cooperation

Crown Prince Muqrin, the deputy premier, hold talks with Pakistani Ambassador Manzoor ul Haq in Riyadh on Tuesday, discussing ways to explore new areas of cooperation in different fields between the two friendly countries.

A senior Pakistani diplomat said the crown prince and the Pakistani envoy discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to bolster it in different fields.

“The two sides emphasized the need to have regular high-level interactions to further strengthen relations and to discover more areas of potential bilateral cooperation,” the diplomat said.

“Major issues concerning the Pakistani community in the Kingdom were discussed during the meeting,” he said, adding that the crown prince assured all possible cooperation in this regard.

The envoy conveyed greetings and good wishes of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain to the crown prince.

Earlier, the ambassador met Ahmed Mohammed Ali, president of Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and discussed matters relating to further enhancing relations between Islamabad and the IDB.

Ali congratulated the envoy for his responsibilities as new ambassador to the Kingdom, assuring full support from the bank to boost economic development of Pakistan.

The ambassador lauded IDB’s economic policies toward Pakistan, which have “started producing positive impact on the overall economy of the country.”
